Eurodesk Gürsu is the local gateway to European opportunities for young people.
Eurodesk is a European youth information network that provides free information on learning, volunteering, traineeship and youth opportunities in Europe for young people and those who work with them. Created in 1990, the network is supported by the Erasmus+ programme and today works through more than 3,500 local information providers in 36 countries. In Türkiye it has been coordinated by the Turkish National Agency since 2008.
Gürsu Municipality became a Eurodesk contact point in June 2019, when its application was accepted by the National Agency. Since then it has offered young people in Bursa free information, one-to-one guidance and application support, run international youth projects under Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, and hosted volunteers from across Europe in Gürsu.
The municipality holds the European Solidarity Corps Quality Label as both a supporting and a hosting organisation. Our contact point's project “Listen To The Sound of My Hands”, which explored communication from the perspective of hearing-impaired young people, brought together 40 young participants from five countries and won the Inclusive Youth Information category at the 2025 Eurodesk Awards.

Why us?
You pay nothing for information, guidance or application support.
Since 2019 we have been a contact point of Eurodesk, the European youth information network supported by Erasmus+ and active in 36 countries.
You can ask your questions in Gürsu, to an advisor sitting across from you.
Our project “Listen To The Sound of My Hands” won the Inclusive Youth Information category at the 2025 Eurodesk Awards.
No. Information, guidance and application support are all free of charge; Eurodesk contact points may not charge for the information they give. Eurodesk is not a funding body: it points you to the right programme and the right place to apply.
Most opportunities target young people aged 13-30: youth exchanges are for ages 13-30, European Solidarity Corps volunteering for 18-30 and DiscoverEU for 18-year-olds. Each opportunity lists its own conditions on its page; if you are unsure, ask us.
For most youth exchanges, basic English that lets you express yourself is enough. Volunteering projects include online language support for the language of your host country; a language certificate is usually not required.
In Erasmus+ youth exchanges and European Solidarity Corps volunteering, accommodation and food are covered by the programme, and your travel is supported up to an amount set by distance. Volunteers also receive pocket money and insurance. DiscoverEU covers the travel pass only; accommodation and food are at your own expense.
Our team reviews your application and contacts you by email or phone. In that conversation we go through suitable opportunities, the conditions and the calendar together.
Got a question? From your application to your departure, we are with you at every step.
