Our project “Listen To The Sound of My Hands” won the Inclusive Youth Information category at the 2025 Eurodesk Awards.
The results of the 2025 Eurodesk Awards, presented each year by the European youth information network Eurodesk, have been announced. Out of 67 projects from 20 countries, “Listen To The Sound of My Hands”, led by Gürsu Municipality as a Eurodesk contact point, was named the winner of the Inclusive Youth Information category.
About the project
The project brought together 40 young participants from five countries and explored communication from the perspective of hearing-impaired people. Participants learned sign language; through sign language training, digital resources and awareness-raising, it aimed to make opportunities such as Erasmus+ easier to reach for both hearing and deaf young people.
The award is a strong encouragement to keep working so that youth information is accessible to everyone.
